A couple of weeks ago, I started warped my loom for another running leaves card woven band/strap/belt. It turned out to be too wide to be a dog leash, so I’ve decided that it will make a great guitar strap or belt.
These pictures are of the 3 yard warp; on the loom (a standing rug/navajo weaving loom); and the first few inches woven.
Cut off the loom and almost finished.
This is 2 inches wide and 6 feet long.
The next card weaving project. This is a green, gold and black, dragon breath weaving on 22 cards. The finished strap will be 3 inches wide and about 6 feet long.
Here’s what was accomplished Monday & Tuesday.
I think I’m going to experiment with the dragon’s breath pattern for awhile because I really like the way you can customize it!!

I believe Guntram’s software was built for windows versions newer than Windows95, but I’m not sure. I’m attaching the file to this email, as it is freeware. All that Guntram wants is that we credit his awesome software for any creations we make with it.
Please copy and paste the links I’m sending into your browser, as I never recommend clicking on links in email messages.
Download (GTT V1.17).
NB: This version may not properly work under Windows 95.
If you run this version and all the tool buttons are blank, you will need to update some of your system files. This is quite easy: download the file (comctl32.dll) and copy it over the existing file in your Windows/System directory.
I suggest you make a backup of your old file though, just in case… I wouldn’t want to be responsible for breaking your Windows.
AS this is a .ZIP file, you’ll need a free software app to open it if you don’t have a newer version of windows or mac. That can be acquired here: (http://www.winzip.com/win/en/downwz.html). make sure you click on the ‘free’ button. You will then create a new folder on your desktop, move the zip file to this new folder and then double click it to extract all of the necessary files.
Once you get everything unzipped, you merely click on the GTT.exe file and the program opens up. You will need to download his library files and place them in the same folder as the software. Those files are found here: (http://www.guntram.co.za/tabletweaving/patterns/patterns.html). You then click on the first link for the simple patterns and it will open to those. Right click on the words, ‘16 cards’ (not the pictures) for each pattern you want to insert into your library and select, ‘save link as’ and then select the GTT file you created on your desktop as the destination folder. When you’ve downloaded what you want to weave, open the GTT.exe file, then click on the ‘open folder’ button which will show you what you’ve downloaded and select what you want to look at and/or print.
The software allows you to change any/all of the colors, etc.

If you go to this page: (http://www.guntram.co.za/tabletweaving/gtt.htm), and click on one of the links for the manuals (just under the picture of an awesome belt weaving), this will teach you how to use his software.
